Bio:
Rafed is originally from Jordan and moved to New York for college. He is currently a sophomore at NYU studying Finance, Statistics, and Computer Science. Since moving to NYC, Rafed's love for the city has increased consistently, and he plans to stay here to pursue a professional career in finance or tech after graduating.

Rafed grew up playing soccer, taekwondo, and swimming. Then, he did some traditional bodybuilding for a couple of years before returning to swimming in high school. This led him to discover CrossFit as a fun and beneficial way to complement his swimming training. After moving to NYC, Rafed decided to focus on other sports, during which he picked up boxing and CrossFit. Since joining CFUS, Rafed has started to gravitate more towards CrossFit and attributes this shift to the tight-knit community of CFUS. He describes it as "so much more than a gym", and aside from working and training here, you can occasionally find him doing his homework in the gym too!
